I’ve been a Polish Highlander (wore a cool cape). I’ve climbed 600ft up a mountain called Suicide Rock (this was a struggle). I’ve worked as a set lighting technician on a Weird Al music video (nice guy, cool hair).
I touched the Brandenburg Gate (Berlin), the massive torii gates of the Meiji shrine (Tokyo), and the castle of Walt Disney (Anaheim).
I’m passionate about storytelling. When I was 14, my favorite writer was Charles Bukowski, my favorite filmmaker was Stanley Kubrick. I thought Barry Lyndon was amazing (still do) and that living in a Los Angeles flophouse was noble (not anymore).
Though my Bukowski-isms are long since faded, I still maintain that intense love of words, stories, and the ideas behind them. And if I don’t make it, I can always go back to being a Highlander.
